Langsat

Peel a langsat and this is what you find inside. (end view, side view, sections). The taste? It is the best grapefruit I have ever eaten.

Lansium domesticum - Langsat, Lanzone

The size of these fruits varies - even on the same bunch.

Here are two ripe Garcinia magnifolia fruits on the tree. This fruit is rare in Puerto Rico and, apparently also rare in Brazil.

Here are three Eugenia victoriana fruits which are called "Sundrops". The aroma of a ripe fruit is intense and the flavor even more intense. To make a drink add five parts water to one part pulp - and sweeten. Sundrops make a great jam.

Amherstia nobilis

This flower is from an Anherstia nobilis tree - one more tree that is known as the "Queen of the flowering trees". Of my trees it is certainly the Queen.

Philosophy

Blood is thicker than water but money is a great blood thinner.

A man may be without faults when he marries but he will soon develope them under the pressure of being married to a perfect woman. (There may be a feminist version of this.)

Garcinia maginfolia

Today I harvested over twenty Garcinia magnifolia fruits, which may be a record in Puerto Rico.
